Dabangg – A memorable day

Had a memorable day today. I almost lost my scooter, that too because of my carelessness. I parked my scooter in the parking area at Shiv Cinema, Dharan where Dabangg was being shown. I forgot to pull the key and keep it in my pocket. The excitement of watching the movie overlapped the sense of not having the bunch of keys in my pocket.

As soon as movie came to an end, I found out that I had no keys. Damn! I was sinking into the sense of doom. My wife had no words to say. I ran into the parking area, and to my surprise, the scooter was missing from the spot I had last left it. All I could think was of the hundred twenty thousand rupees, which we had saved together to get the scooter. Together with the scooter, my data in the pendrive, the keys to my rooms were all gone.

As I was running here and there in frustration, the security guard asked me if I had lost my scooter ! I was like.. ‘ya, where’s my scooter?’

He gave me my keys and showed me my scooter, which was parked on the opposite side of the parking area. I had no words to thank him and all I was doing was holding his hands and shaking them. It was like losing a hundred thousand rupees and then earning it back. I took out my purse and gave him all the cash I had (six hundred rupees) and then rode back to my residence listening to my wife’s noble words.
